Warranty policy
Thanks for choosing VidaLite. We design our LED fixtures in-house and ship them from US stock, and we stand behind every one of them. This warranty explains what we cover, for how long, and how we make things right if a fixture ever lets you down.
What the 5-year warranty covers
VidaLite warrants its LED fixtures against defects in materials and workmanship for fixtures purchased directly from vidalite.co.
Our fixtures use integrated LEDs, so there are no bulbs to replace. That means the LED and the driver are both covered under this warranty, right along with the rest of the fixture. If a covered defect shows up during the warranty period, we will make it right.
Coverage period
The warranty lasts 5 years from the date of delivery. A claim is valid if the defect appears within that period and you contact us with valid proof of purchase.
Who is covered
This warranty covers the original purchaser of a fixture bought directly from vidalite.co, with valid proof of purchase.
Proof of purchase is your VidaLite order confirmation or receipt showing the item and the purchase date. Keeping it handy is the quickest way for us to confirm your coverage.
What is not covered
This warranty covers defects, not damage from outside causes or ordinary aging. It does not cover:
- Normal wear and tear, and cosmetic changes that happen over time.
- Misuse, abuse, or neglect.
- Accidental damage, such as drops or impacts.
- Improper installation, or installation not done by a qualified person following the instructions and local electrical code.
- Unauthorized repair or modification.
- Damage from power surges, incorrect voltage, or faulty building wiring.
- Use outside the product's rated conditions, for example using a fixture in a wet location when it is not rated for one.
- Damage from natural events.
Registering your product
You do not have to register to be covered. Your warranty is valid with proof of purchase whether or not you register.
That said, we recommend it. Registering keeps your details on file and speeds up any future claim. You can register your product in just a minute.
How to make a claim
If something is not working as it should, we want to hear from you. Email us at cs@vidalite.co and include:
- Your order number.
- Your proof of purchase.
- Photos or a short description of the issue.
We will respond and arrange the repair or replacement from there.
How we make it right
For a valid claim, VidaLite will repair the fixture or replace it with the same model, or a comparable current model if the original is no longer available. The choice is at VidaLite's discretion, and there is no charge to you.
Just like our return policy, a valid defect claim is always made right at no cost. If we need the fixture back, we provide a prepaid shipping label.
Limitations
This warranty covers the fixture itself. To the extent permitted by law, it does not cover labor, installation, and removal costs, or any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
Nothing in this warranty limits or removes any rights you have under applicable consumer protection law. Where the law gives you greater rights than this warranty does, those rights still apply in addition to this warranty.
Purchases from other retailers
The 5-year warranty applies to fixtures purchased directly from vidalite.co.
If you bought your VidaLite fixture through another retailer or marketplace, please handle the claim under that retailer's terms. You are also welcome to contact us at cs@vidalite.co, and we will help point you in the right direction.
